WHO WE ARE

Youth Reformation and Awareness Centre is a nongovernmental and not for profit organization. YRAC carries out children’s, parents, teachers and health workers, and patients’ enhancement programs to accomplish its objectives.
YRAC provides bridges for gaps of information that homes and schools cannot close. Emphasis is also placed on the mental health of children which is essential for their well-being. The mission is accomplished by working with a team of professionals and experts in fields of Education, Psychology, Guidance and counseling, Health/Medical workers, Social works, and Religious/Inspirational works, Consultants, Legal Advisers and Researchers into current issues. YRAC Books (YRAC Publications) is a department that publishes books and other awareness resources by the organization to sustain and update the members with necessary information.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Margaret Udoh is a professional teacher, Child Psychologist and currently undergoing Global Human Resource Management Course with the University of Liverpool and other Management online courses.
She started as the first coordinator of National Council of Child Rights Advocates of Nigeria (NACCRAN) FCT Chapter; she handled this responsibility for seven years and has also represented Nigeria at other Regional and Continental levels.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • UN - ECOSOC - YRAC has a United Nation's special ECOSOC Consultative Status.
  • ECOSOCC - YRAC was among the first fifty four (54) African CSOs qualified out of the five hundred (500) that applied into the Second Permanent Assembly of Economic Social Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) of the African Union.
  • WACSOF - YRAC's Founder, Mrs Margaret Udoh, was recently elected as a Vice President of West African Civil Societies’ Forum (WACSOF) in August 17th, 2016.
  • CSO FORUM - YRAC was the first Nigerian CSOs Forum representative of the African Union Charter for the Rights and Welfare of the Child, Head Quarters at Ethiopia; this was the 7th Forum on the 22nd-24th of November, 2012.
  • UWAC - YRAC's FOunder, Mrs Margaret Udoh, was the first Nigerian Representative of the Union for the Coalition of West African Children (UWAC). 
  • ECOWAS HEADS OF STATES MEETING - YRAC's Founder, Mrs Margaret Udoh, was nominated at the UWAC General Assembly in July, 2013 at Cotonou, Benin Republic to be reporting for Nigeria on Child Rights issues at ECOWAS Heads of States Meetings.
  • WESTAFRICA- YRAC's Founder, Mrs Margaret Udoh, is currently The West African Commissioner for Child Participation and Inclusiveness.
